Milwaukee, Wis.—Directors of A. O. Smith Corporation (AOS-NYSE, SMCA-AMEX) today declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $.13 per share on Common Stock and Class A Common Stock.

The dividend is payable on May 15, 2002 to shareholders of record April 30, 2002.
